Pokerstars, ændringer

#1| 0

Hej Pokernettere

Her er hvad, Lee Jones (PokerStars ejer) har postet på et andet forum;

Hi folks -
We've just deployed a brand new tournament schedule that will go into effect on Monday the 13th. Read all about it here.

Consistency
Some of you have noticed that our daily schedule was not particularly consistent. This caused some confusion and with this schedule overhaul we have made sure that each weekday is essentially the same. You will find your favorite tournaments in the same slot each day.

Time Slotting
If you listen to news radio, you’ll often hear something like “Traffic and Weather at :12, :27, :42, and :57.” The idea is that you can tune into that station and know exactly when you’re going to get the information you need. We’ve tried to duplicate that predictability:

:00 – Hold’em Variations
:15– “Unique Tournaments” – We have used this slot for our unique offerings, such as Heads Up, 6-Max, and Capped Entry tournaments.
:30 – Omaha Variations
:45 – Stud Variations and HORSE

Alsoour satellites to the Sunday Million will run at specific slots as well, with double shootouts running at :10, :20, :40, and :50.

Nightly $150
Ournightly $150 tournament has undergone some changes of its own. It will run at 21:00 each night. But the changes don’t stop there; we have increased starting stacks to 2000 chips, and added three satellites to it each night at 16:15 ($11+R Turbo), 17:15 ($3+R Turbo), and 18:15($11+R Turbo). Adding 500 chips to the starting stacks will give the tournament a slightly deeper structure; we think that’s a good compromise between those that wanted deep stacks and those that have to get up to go to w*rk the next day.

By the way, every Wednesday, we're going to double the buy-in, and the $150 becomes a $300.

Happy European Players
One of our main goals in this schedule change was to provide more events for our European friends. If you're on GMT or CET, you'll find more tournaments that fit your schedule.

More Games!
The new schedule is noticeably more robust than the old schedule and offers more variety and more games at all hours of the day. Some things to look for:

00:30 - $5+R PLO (6-Max)
01:15 - $20 No-limit Hold’em Triple Shootout (Turbo)
08:00 - $11+R No-limit Hold’em
08:15 - $2 Heads-Up Tournament (Winner-Take-All)
10:00 - $8+R No-Limit Hold’em
13:00 - $100 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout
15:15 - $5 Heads-Up Tournament (Winner-Take-All)
19:00 - $100 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout
21:45 - $100 HORSE
22:15 - $55 No-Limit Hold’em (6-max)

In case you didn't get your favorite tournament
Now, perhaps we didn’t get to your pet tournament that you’ve been asking us for the last 18 months. Please forgive us – there’s simply no way we can give everybody exactly what he wants; our tournament schedule would look like the financial pages of the Wall Street Journal. But that doesn’t mean that we’ve carving this in stone and firing all the tournament people. We will continue to look for ways to improve this schedule, and one of the most important ways we do that is by listening to you.

What I’m asking for is some time for us (and you) to get comfortable with this schedule. Like anything new, it will require some adjustment, but we believe this is a huge improvement over what we had in the past, and if you’ll just sit with it for a while, we think you’ll agree.

As always, we deeply appreciate your support – your business, your feedback, and your good wishes.

Best regards,
Lee Jones
