PN warewolf spil

#1| 0

What exactly is Werewolf?

You are all part of a town that has been taken over by werewolves who murder a townsperson each night. Each player is secretly assigned a roll. Some rolls have special powers that require participation after the nightly closing of the thread. The normal villagers are pitted against the werewolves(a villager that has been bitten and converted). The good guys outnumber the bad 2-1 at the start of the game. The trick is for the good players to kill off the bad before they convert and/or hang you. If you're a good player and think this will be easy, it is far from it.

it's no one individual that wins. Its either villagers or wolves. Everyday all the townspeople gather to discuss who they think is a wolf and vote on who to hang. At the close of the thread a story is played out and one character killed off. Night occurs while the thread is closed- during that time the wolves converse and choose who to kill and special characters use their powers. Another story will be up in the morning to go over what has occured during the night.

What are the rules?

There are none really, and that is the beauty of the game. You can say as little or as much as you want. If you want to say "I am character so & so" to the entire group, that is fine. The question is, will they believe you? This game is mainly about deception but I have seen villagers in the past sacrifice themselves for the good of the group for them to win. You may PM anyone you'd like in the background and ask any question you want. I also allow messenger conversations. The problem is convincing others that you are what you say you are and if you really are the Seer for example, you don't want the wolves to find this out because you will be dead meat.

***This is a very important rule. You may PM any player of the game at any time. You may talk outside of the thread and via messenger services. DO NOT FORWARD/COPY/SHARE the PM's you receive that contain game information. That act is forbidden- failure to abide by this rule is grounds for immediate expulsion from the game.Everything else is free for you to interpret. ***

You CANNOT post in the game thread after you have died (this includes farewell posts. you died, get over it), nor can you give away what character you were until the very end.

What happens each day?

Each day will begin between 6-8 AM EST and end at 11 PM EST with a hanging. Special characters must have nightly choices to me no later than 3 am (ps time). Votes are date stamped so I will use that if it is close enough and I am not around at night. At the beginning of each day I create a story as to what happened during the closed hours of the thread.

The Characters (30 total):

GOOD

(fourteen players) Villager (Human) - The villagers are the standard good characters without any special role. This does not make them less important than the other characters, though. On the contrary, it is the voting of villagers that sways the lynch-mob - and since the wolves will be trying to target the special characters, villagers have a better chance than most to survive to the end of the game.

The Mayor (Generally good but could be a werewolf!) - Unlike the other special characters, the Mayor is not assigned by the Moderator, but is voted in by the players on day 1. As such, the player holding the Mayor's position can also hold another special role.

The Mayor gets two votes, when voting for whom to lynch - and also gets to make the final decision on who gets lynched in the case of voting ties. Should the Mayor die for any reason, the Mayor must name a successor who takes over the position (a Vice Mayor (?)).

(one player) Seer (Special Human) - The seer has prophetic and strange dreams. Each night, the seer dreams about a single player of their choice. When the seer awakens the following morning, they can interpret their dreams to discover whether the target dreamed about is human or wolf. The seer does not discover whether or not the target has a special role.

(one player) Trollop (Special Human)
By day, the Trollop is a respectable villager. Each night, however, the Trollop dons a disguise and secretly selects a "client" to visit. They spend the night with their chosen player, and consequently the player is prevented from performing any night-time activities that their role would otherwise let them perform. The visited player is informed that they were prevented from their night-time activities by the Trollop, but is not informed of the identity of the Trollop. If the Trollop visits a Werewolf, the other wolves (if any) may still eat a victim. However, if the Trollop chooses a Werewolf and they decide to eat him, he can actually protect himself as the message cannot be relayed to the other wolves. The Trollop is not informed of the special role (if any) of the visited player, but may be able to deduce it by which activity fails to happen that night. The Trollop may not visit the same player on consecutive nights.

(two players) Herbalist (Special Human) - The herbalist is wise in the ways of natural medicine, and can prepare wolvesbane to keep the wolves at bay. Each night, the herbalist prepares enough wolvesbane to protect the house of a single player from being entered by werewolves. The power of the wolvesbane fades in the morning, so the protection only lasts for a single night. Unfortunately, a house needs to be thoroughly cleansed before it can be protected in this way. This causes two problems for the herbalist. Firstly, the herbalist's own house has so many other herbs in it that the wolvesbane is swamped by their scent and cannot be effectively cleansed - so the herbalist cannot use their wolvesbane to protect themself. Secondly, the need to let a house air before protecting it again means that the herbalist cannot protect the same house on two consecutive nights.

(one player) The Revenant (Special Human)

The Revenant spends most of the game as a normal villager. However, on the night after the Revenant dies, he rises from the grave and takes revenge for his death, killing the person he thinks is responsible. (so, if he is lynched, he kills someone that night, if he is killed in the night by werewolves/lunatic, he rises the following night) If the Revenant knows his killer(s) he must kill one of them (e.g. if the Revenant was lynched, he must kill one of the people who voted for him). If the Revenant does not know who killed him, then he must guess. Once the Revenant has taken his posthumous revenge, he goes to his final rest and can not be raised again.

(two players) Lunatic (Special Human) - The lunatic has been driven mad by the werewolves and the killing. Although they appear normal during the day, each night after the first night they must go out under the influence of the moon and slay another player of their choice. There is method to the lunatic's madness, however, and the lunatic's goal is to slay the wolves since only then can the madness end. The lunacy that brings death also brings insight, and the lunatic will recognise the exact role (whether special or not) of the victim they have just killed.

EVIL

(five players) Werewolf (Wolf)- The werewolves are plaguing the town. During the day they look like normal humans, but at night they transform into hideous beasts. The werewolves know who each other are from the start of the game, and also know the identities of the alpha wolf and the gypsy. Each night, the werewolves confer with each other and select a victim between them. This victim is slain by the werewolves.

(one player) Alpha Wolf (Special Wolf) - The alpha wolf is the elder werewolf who has spawned the other werewolves. The alpha wolf starts the game knowing the identities of all werewolves and of the gypsy. As an elder werewolf, the alpha wolf is more powerful than the normal werewolves and cannot be discovered by the seer's dreams.

(one player) Shaman (Special Wolf)
The Shaman is the spiritual leader of the werewolf clan, and is a werewolf himself (for purposes of being examined by the Seer and for purposes of the endgame conditions). Once per game, the Shaman can (if still alive) kidnap any one target, and perform a ritual on them that makes them lose whatever special role they might have had and become a Werewolf instead.

(one player) Gypsy (Special Human) - The gypsy is a human agent of the wolves. They know the identity of the werewolves and the alpha wolf and work to support them. Although the gypsy has no special powers, their primary role is to both draw suspicion away from the wolves in order to help them survive by persuading people not to lynch them and to pass information to the wolves.

(one player) Witch (Special Human) - The witch has a grudge against the town, and hopes that the wolves slay all the humans in it. Although they have no knowledge of which of the players are wolves and which of the players are human, the witch can select a player each night and use their spells to discover what special role (if any) that player has. Naturally, the witch can then use this knowledge in the future to sow discord and suspicion around the town and generally hamper the efforts of the good guys - perhaps even getting one of the good specials lynched.

It is a cool night in New EssOwe. The tension in the air is thick and only grew during the late afternoon thundershowers.

Trashtalker has been appointed mayor and must now hang the first supected wolf. Statebchamps is led to the make-shift gallows that has been erected next to the fountain.

He is slowly walked up the stairs and the noose positioned around his neck. Trashtalker releases the trap door and the body hangs. The body is watched but it simply hangs. The village has hanged one of their own and werewolves are still amongst them.

Wolves please have your alpha or other appointed person PM me your victim. Specials please PM me your choices. All powers must be used by 0300. No exceptions.

The thread will be closed until 0730. gl everyone
